The Department for Communities and Local Government is considering an appeal against this Council’s decision to refuse permission at 10 Rosa Alba Mews, Islington, London, N5 2QL for the erection of a 3 storey side extension, 2 storey rear addition including facade alterations to existing mews end terrace.
The appeal will be dealt with by written representations.

The Council refused to grant planning permission for the following reasons:
- REASON: The proposal would lead to unacceptable loss of permeable land contrary to Islington’s Unitary Development Plan Policies Env 1 and Env 2 (New Developments) and Planning Policy Statement 1 Planning & Climate Change supplement dated December 2007 and furthermore would breech the Council’s adopted standard of a maximum allowance of 25% coverage of gardens by extensions.
